UCOR (user correction)
Compensation of an external frequencyresponse
DUTs are often connected to the signal generator via long cables or other frequency dependentcomponents, making it very important to compensate for frequency response. The R&S@SMA100Borovides a user correction (UCOR) function for this purpose. Together with an R&SeNRP power sensor.the UCOR values are automatically determined at the push of a button. A frequency responsecompensated RF signal is available at the new reference plane for UCOR.
Closed loop power control (CLPC)
Dynamic compensation of external frequency responses and drifts by the R&SeSMA100Bwith a connected R&SeNRP power sensor。
The dynamic closed loop power control is a standard feature of the R&SeSMA100B. When combinedwith an R&SNRP power sensor, the dynamic closed loop power control ensures highly accurate andstable input power to the DUT over time, regardless of unexpected signal chain losses or gains,unwanted power drifts in the setup or target level changes. Please read the application notebefore using the closed loop power control for the first time to avoid a possible damage to the DUT。
Uninterrupted level sweep with high dynamic range
When measuring gain transfer functions or output saturation points in amplifiers with an integratedautomatic level control (ALC), the sianal generator must provide a wide uninterrupted level sweeprange.The R&SeSMA100B with the R&SSMAB-K724 option provides the following.

Measure the true performance of your device
Analog input bandwidth and required clock frequency increase with each new ADC generation. Theincrease in the effective number of bits also results in a larger signal-to-noise ratio. R&S®NRP power sensor connectivity
An R&SeNRP power sensor can be connected to the R&SeSMA100B
A DUT is rarely connected directly to the generator. Cables and other components are often betweenthe generator and the DUT. This shifts the reference plane from the generator RF output to the DUT. AnR&.SeNRP power sensor can be connected to the R&SeSMB100B for extremely precise calibration (tenthof a dB) on the new reference plane。
