R&S®ESW EMI test receiver for compliance testing

Outstanding RF characteristics, high dynamic range and measurement accuracy make the R&S®ESW ideal for fast and reliable certification measurements. The receiver meets the most stringent requirements in line with CISPR, EN, MIL‑STD-461, DO‑160 and FCC. Every R&S®ESW comes with an FFT based time domain scan for fast measurements. The wideband extension option has an FFT bandwidth of up to 970 MHz, enabling the receiver to measure CISPR bands C and D all at once. The high bandwidth is captured in real-time, even when CISPR detectors are enabled.

Fast scanning speeds

Time domain scan for fast measurements

Speed is crucial, especially for testing devices with short operating times. The R&S®ESW has an FFTbased time domain scan (TDS) to measure large frequency segments at once rather than individualresolution bandwidths for each observation period in conventional stepped scan mode. FFT bandwidthcan increase to 970 MHz with the wideband extension option for measuring CISPR bands C and D all atonce. The high bandwidth is captured in real time even with CISPR detectors enabled.

The R&SeESW has a touchscreen with a 12.1" display for convenient and intuitive operation. Thereceiver has two additional customizable knobs that can be assianed functions such as resolutionbandwidth,RF attenuation and measurement time.

The R&SeESW captures signals in real time, without any time gaps and with a bandwidth of up to 80MHz with the base unit or up to 970 MHz if equipped with the wideband extension option. Even theshortest pulses are resolved and displaved intuitively in the persistence spectrum and spectrogram.showing detected signals that would otherwise remain hidden. Sporadic, pulsed or drifting signals areeasy to identify with the real-time option。
