Features & benefits
Signal analysis: quick results
See small signal details in the presence of large signals
The R&SeRTM3000 features a customized Rohde & Schwarz desianed 10-bit A/D converter that deliversa four-fold improvement over conventional 8-bit A/D converters. The increased resolution results insharper waveforms with more signal details that would otherwise be missed. One example is thecharacterization of switched-mode power supplies. The voltages across the switching device must bedetermined during the on/off times within the same acquisition.
Capture more time at full bandwidth
Segmented memory: 400 Msample with history function
The R&SeRTM-K15 option with deep, segmented memory analyzes signal sequences over a longobservation period. Protocol-based signals with communications gaps such as l²C or SPl can becaptured over several seconds or minutes. Thanks to the variable segment size the 400 Msamplememory is optimally utilized. in history mode, previous acquisitions to the maximum segmentedmemory depth of 400 Msample are available for further analysis.
Logic analysis with the MS0 option
16 additional digital channels
The R&SeRTM-B1 option turns every R&SeRTM3000 into an intuitive-to-use MSO with 16 additionaldigital channels. The oscilloscope captures and analyzes signals from analog and digital components ofan embedded design - synchronously and timecorrelated to each other. For example, the delaybetween input and output of an A/D converter can conveniently be determined using the cursormeasurements.
Waveform and pattern generator
Generate analog and digital stimuli
The R&SeRTM-B6 waveform and pattem generator up to 50 Mbits is useful for educational purposesand for implementing prototype hardware. Apart from the common sine, square/pulse, ramp and noisewaveforms, it outputs arbitrary waveforms and 4-bit signal patterns. Waveforms and patterns can beimported as CSV files or copied from oscilloscope waveforms. Predefined patterns for e.g. |C, SPl.UART and CAN/LIN can be used.
Digital voltmeter
Measure and display electrical potential
The R&SeRTM3000 features a 3-digit voltmeter (DV) and 6-digit frequency counter on each channelfor simultaneous measurements. easurement functions include DC, AC+DC (RMS) and AC (RMS) -included as standard.
Frequency analysis mode
Difficult-to-find faults often result from the interaction between time and frequency signals. The FFTfunction of the R&SRTiM3000 is activated at the push of a button and by simpling entering the centelfreguency and span. Thanks to the R&SeRTM3000 oscilloscopes' high-performance FFT functionality, sianals can be analvzed with up to 128k points, Other practical tools include cursor measurements andautoset in frequency domain.
Mask test mode
Mask tests quickly reveal whether a specific signal lies within defined tolerance limits. Masks assess thequality and stability of a DUT based on statistical pass/fail evaluation. Signal anomalies and unexpectedresults are auickly identified. When the mask is violated, the measurement stops. Each violation cangenerate a pulse output at the AUX-OUT connector on the R&SeRTM3000. This pulse output can beused to trigger actions in the measurement setup.
The best choice for power
See power signal details with up to 10-bit resolution
Even the smallest signal details of a high dynamic signal matter for power measurements. Verificationof Ros(on) of a MOSFET is one example. The high ADC resolution of the R&SeRTM3000 oscilloscopesincreases the vertical resolution up to 10 bit. Previously unseen signal details become visible andmeasurable. In the example of Rpsion), it makes it possible to measure the slope of the drain-to-source.voltage while the switch is closed.
