rohde schwarz BBL200 broadband amplifier 9 kHz to 225 MHz 3000 W to 10000 W
The quiet amplifier with 10 kW HF output power and smallest footprint
Key facts
Frequency range between 9 kHz and 250 MHz
Output power of 3000 W, 5000 W or 10000 W at 1 dB compression point
100 % mismatch tolerance
Suitable for amplitude, frequency, phase, pulse and OFDM modulation
Liquid-cooled, compact and quiet
Liquid-cooled power amplifiers for high field strengths
The R&S®BBL200 broadband amplifiers are ideal for applications requiring high RF power. The R&S®BBL200 broadband amplifiers are linear Class A amplifiers and generate 3 kW, 5 kW and 10 kW of power in a frequency range from 9 kHz to 250 MHz. They are liquid-cooled, solidstate, highly rugged, quiet and efficient. Precise monitoring of all runtime parameters ensures maximum robustness and reliability. The amplifiers are designed for continuous operation and deliver constant power even under mismatch conditions.
Features & benefits
Broadband amplification
Sophisticated RF design
The use of state-of-the-art desian and simulation programs during development, the use of powersemiconductors from internationally leading manufacturers and Rohde & Schwarz engineers' decadesof experience in developing amplifiers produce the most advanced amplifier design currently availableEfficiency and ruggedness ensure smooth operation. Lean firmware with effective monitoring andprotection mechanisms provides operational safety.
100% mismatch tolerance
Reliable with high availability
The R&SeBBL200 broadband amplifiers are highly tolerant to mismatch at the RF output and areexcellently suited for EMC applications with poorly matched antennas or for DUT measurements withan input impedance that deviates significantly from 50 2. They are rugged enough to handle short-circuiting at the RF end or an open RF output. The R&SeBBL200 delivers the rated output power for asong as possible up to a mismatch of VSVR 6:1.
Liquid cooling
Compact and quiet
Liquid cooling of the amplifier modules makes the R&S@BBL200 amplifiers very quiet in comparisonwith com pletely air-cooled amplifiers. The combination of high-performance modules and efficient liquidcooling results in a compact design that is unparalleled in this power class. Despite the high powerdensity, efficient module cooling ensures suitable temperatures in the amplifier rack. Waste heat isdissipated by a heat exchanger that can be located at some distance from the amplifier.
Modern user interface
Flexible control and operation
The R&S@BBL200 is operated via the display and the buttons on the front panel. This is ideal for use inlabs and makes it easy to change settings. In addition the R&SBBL200 can be conveniently operatedvia its graphical user interface using a computer. The web GUl integrated into the R&SBBL200 is calledup via LAN and web browser. The standard Ethernet interface makes it possible to automate testsequences using remote control SCPl commands.
